International Workers’ Memorial Day

Events took place across the world yesterday to mark International Workers' Memorial Day. The day, which takes place each year on 28 April, is recognised by the UK government and this year took the theme of ‘Protecting workers around the world through strong regulation, enforcement and union rights'.

Leaked safety report identifies “fear” at Crossrail project

A leaked safety report has accused the Crossrail project of creating a culture in which workers are afraid to report mistakes and safety incidents, The Observer has reported.
